Meet Hathor – named after the powerful Egyptian goddess of women, beauty, joy and love. She is a ring designed to honour all of these aspects, which is why I choose pink and green stones, the two colours of the heart chakra.
Hathor has a beautiful mossy green, rose cut, rustic diamond at her centre (3.3 carats) and is surrounded by six pink diamonds, that sparkle around her like the stars around the earth. She has been hand hammered and the gold around the diamond has been hand engraved with tiny lines, giving her an authentic artisanal quality.
This romantic, ethical ring is hand forged with Fairtrade gold from the SOTRAMI mining community in the Atacama desert in Peru. They receive a fair price for their gold as well as a 10% premium which has already helped them to build a school.
This green centre diamond is known as a rustic diamond (which means that when it grew within the earth’s crust it contained a mineral inside the diamond creating colourful inclusions). This makes each ring one-of-a-kind and is a perfect choice if you are looking for a ring that is unique to you.
Hathor is handmade in my Somerset studio, and is a size M but can be re-sized.
She looks great together with my Zoe ethical wedding ring.
