She has a beautiful rose cut smoky diamond at her centre that contains flecks of coffee and dark chocolate colours. On the surface of the diamond are some naturally occuring pits that add to Ertha’s rustic, organic earthiness. At 2.9 carats she certainly makes a statement and is a stunning alternative to the traditional engagement ring.
This smoky diamond is known as a rustic diamond (which means it grew with a mineral inside the diamond creating colourful inclusions) and is a perfect choice if you are looking for a ring that is unique to you.
The gold ring has been hammered and the gold around the diamond has been hand engraved in lines, giving Ertha an eclectic, artisanal quality. On either side of the stone are three 1.5mm rubies set with raised beads.
She’s ethical too, made with gold dug up by the SOTRAMI mining community from the Atacama desert in Peru. You will be happy to know that they are paid a fair price for their gold and have practices in place that protect the environment.
This Ertha ring is hand made in my Somerset studio, and is a size M but can be re-sized.
